About the Role and Your Responsibilities

You will be part of a team where you and your colleagues are responsible for planning and following up on the educational activities in the after-school program.

You will either be responsible for one of the practical-aesthetic subjects or for FRIS sessions (after-school in school) during the school day, where the class is usually divided into smaller groups. By taking advantage of the students' interests and needs, you and your team will design meaningful teaching and leisure activities and inspire new discoveries.

Collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues is a very important part of the assignment.

The after-school program at Vikingaskolan is divided into age-homogeneous departments for grades F-3. Certified primary school teachers in after-school programs are present in each department.

We are looking for you

We are looking for someone who is a certified primary school teacher in after-school programs or has a degree in leisure pedagogy. It is an advantage if you already have several years of experience working in after-school programs.

Furthermore, we are looking for someone who has the ability to see the different needs of all students, takes into account their individual circumstances, and helps them develop. You are well acquainted with the school's and after-school program's governing documents and base your planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of activities on these.

You see collegial learning as a natural part of your assignment and work. You have new ideas, an interest in creative work, play, and physical activities within the framework of the entire school day. You strive for a trusting, open, and respectful collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues.

About the Workplace

Vikingaskolan is located in Linero, in the southeastern part of Lund. We have 570 students in grades F-9. The part of the school that belongs to F-3 is currently under renovation and is located at Råbylundskolan, which is about 1.5 km away.
