About the Role and Your Responsibilities

As a primary school teacher in after-school care, you will work pedagogically and socially based on the goals and guidelines of the organization.

You will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in accordance with applicable governing documents and actively work to develop the after-school care activities. Together with the team, you are responsible for creating a safe environment for the students, both during school hours and in after-school care. Here at Idalaskolan, we highly value development, close collaboration with guardians, and working individually tailored. The position is planned for placement in preschool class.

We are looking for you

We are looking for someone who is a licensed primary school teacher in after-school care, alternatively has a degree in leisure pedagogy or a teaching degree for leisure pedagogical activities. A pedagogical education, preferably with a focus on the earlier years of primary school, is meritorious. Previous experience in the profession is also an advantage.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, collaborative, and engaged in their work, and who dares to try new ways to constantly strive to improve their teaching. You have a holistic perspective on the student's development and plan the teaching to include all students.

About the Workplace

Idalaskolan is a newly built F-3 school located in the eastern part of Veberöd, with nature right at your doorstep. Approximately 175 students attend the school. The facilities are spacious and have flexible learning environments with several rooms for each grade. The schoolyard offers a challenging, exciting, and varied environment with everything from obstacle courses, multi-arenas, and climbing frames to dry meadows, open grass areas, outdoor kitchens, barbecue areas, and forests. In the same building, there is a preschool with which we share staff rooms, libraries, dining halls, and outdoor environments. There is a full-sized gymnasium directly adjacent to the school where students have their physical education classes. Next to the school is a 4H farm where there is an opportunity to visit animals.

Veberöd is located about 20 kilometers east of Lund with good bus connections from Malmö and Lund.

In the child and school administration, we work to create equity and good conditions for all children and students in our preschools, primary schools, and adapted primary schools to achieve their goals.
