About the Role and Your Responsibilities

As a special education teacher at Vikingaskolan, you are an important part of our work to create accessible teaching in the classroom.

You will work with your colleagues on special education in the classroom, in groups, and individually from a F-9 perspective, with the majority of your assignment directed towards grades 4-6. You are responsible, together with your colleagues and the educators in the work teams, for investigations and action plans, and you offer guidance as well as being responsible for certain resource allocation within the work team. You are also part of Vikingaskolan's special education team where you, together with other special teachers/special educators and speech therapists, drive the overall special education work at the school. You work to ensure that all students receive good development and support the educators in this work.

We work based on the EHM model and in the classes you are responsible for, you will work together with the rest of the student health team to ensure that all students receive the support they need.

We Are Looking for You

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license for primary school and is trained as a special teacher and/or special educator with experience or interest in working with multilingual students. We would like you to have training in and experience with Swedish as a second language. You are expected to be proficient in handling modern ICT tools, be well-versed in compensatory aids, and have a good ability to organize and structure your work. You have a good ability to work in a team in close collaboration with colleagues.

The school is located in Linero, in the southeastern part of Lund. We have 600 students in grades F-9. Currently, grades F-3 are operating at Råbylundskolan, as a new school building is being completed at Vikingaskolan.
