Music Teacher with a Focus on Adapted Teaching and Inclusion

Are you passionate about music and dedicated to adapted teaching and inclusion? We are looking for an inspiring music, rhythm, or dance teacher for our music school starting in the spring term, and we look forward to your application!

The Position

The position is 50% and scheduled for weekdays during the day. The position can be applied for individually or together with a position as a music teacher in the area of diversity and inclusion, thus totaling 100%.

Your Role with Us

We offer you a stimulating and developing work environment within a creative and passionate music school. With us, you will have the opportunity to influence and contribute to the development of adapted teaching. You will be part of a dedicated team of teachers and specialists. Additionally, you will have responsibility and space for your own initiatives in teaching.

As a music teacher focusing on adapted teaching and inclusion, you will work on identifying and exploring how the music school can promote adapted teaching and inclusion in its teaching and operations. You will analyze current methods and materials within adapted teaching, propose improvements, and develop and implement adapted teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with different conditions. In your role, you will teach music, dance, or rhythm for an adapted teaching group, focusing on creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment. You will collaborate with colleagues and other staff to support students' development and learning. Additionally, you will document and follow up on students' progress and adapt teaching based on their needs.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone with relevant education in music, pedagogy, or similar, as well as experience in adapted teaching and working with students with different conditions. We want you to have good knowledge of music, dance, or rhythm, and the ability to inspire and engage students, along with creativity and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. You should have flexibility and a willingness to develop new methods and strategies for teaching.

When We Want to Offer You the Position

It is required that you present a certificate from the police register to be employed, according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.

We Offer

The position is part of a project supported by the Swedish Arts Council. The goal is for the project to continue with grant funding in the following years to eventually be included in the Music School as a permanent position as a music or dance teacher with a special area.
