Music and Dance Teacher Wanted!

Are you passionate about music or dance and committed to diversity and inclusion? We are looking for an inspiring music, rhythm, or dance teacher for our music school starting in the spring term. We look forward to your application!

The position is 50% and scheduled for weekdays during the day. The position can be applied for individually or together with a position as a music teacher in the area of adapted teaching and inclusion, thus totaling 100%.

Your Role with Us

As a music teacher focusing on diversity and inclusion, you will work to identify and explore how the music school can promote diversity and inclusion in teaching and operations. You will develop and implement strategies and methods that support inclusive teaching in music, dance, or rhythm. In your role, you will teach music, dance, or rhythm to groups with ethnic diversity, focusing on creating a safe and stimulating learning environment. You will collaborate with colleagues to adapt teaching to students' various cultural and musical backgrounds. Furthermore, you will document and follow up on both the development project and the students' individual progress, adjusting teaching based on their needs.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone with relevant education in music, pedagogy, or similar, and experience working with diversity and inclusion in teaching. We want you to have strong musical competence and the ability to inspire and engage students, as well as creativity and the ability to adapt teaching to different cultural perspectives.

When we want to offer you the position, you will need to present an extract from the police criminal record for us to be able to hire you, according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.

The position is part of a project supported by the Cultural Council. The goal is for the project to continue with funding in the following year to eventually be included in the Music School as a permanent position as a music or dance teacher with a specialty area.
