Workplace Description

The main area of European Studies at SOL includes two programs: the Bachelor's program in European Studies with a humanities profile and the two-year, international, English-language Master's program Master of Arts in European Studies.

The programs are interdisciplinary and particularly focus on cultural and language studies. Within the framework of the current announcement, teaching in project management at the master's level is conducted.

Job Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility

The tasks within the employment consist of planning, teaching, and examination in the course Project Management and Communication Strategies for EU Projects (EUHR15), 15 credits.

Qualifications

Requirements for the position are:

• completed degree at an advanced level and other competencies relevant to the subject of employment,
• demonstrated pedagogical skills,
• experience and competencies in project management and communication strategies relevant to the cultural policy of the European Union.

Meritorious for the position are:

• experience and competencies in the cultural sector focusing on organizing large projects and events related to culture, music, and film,
• good collaboration skills.

The Faculty of Humanities and Theology has eight departments and conducts a large and varied operation in research and education. We have about 700 employees and about 4,000 full-year students.

About the Language and Literature Center

The Language and Literature Center (SOL) is Sweden's largest institution focused on languages, linguistics, literary studies, and area studies. SOL offers about 500 independent courses complemented by a growing number of program educations at the undergraduate and advanced levels. With its 36 subjects and around 30 doctoral programs, SOL forms a solid unit with breadth and depth in education and research, distinguished by both national and international visibility. SOL is led by a board where the head is the chairperson. In addition, there are three deputy heads with specific operational responsibilities. SOL has approximately 300 employees and 8,000 students, of which about a hundred are doctoral students.
