The Music Primary School Synkopen is a school for about 200 students with an interest in music. Music provides a positive learning climate, greater job satisfaction, and fosters a sense of community among students of different ages. Slottsvångsskolan is a prestigious F-9 school in the heart of Helsingborg. Here, the school's approximately 250 students are at the center in every sense, and our work is based on the key concepts of Knowledge, Care, and Language.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for an engaged teacher for our students in NO (Bi/Ke) for grades 7-9. The assignment includes teaching students in NO at both of our secondary schools as well as mentoring in a class in grades 7-9.

With us, you are expected to drive and develop your pedagogical work in a way that is inspiring for the students. We need teachers who want to help create safety and joy of learning in our classrooms. You are a teacher who creates forgiving learning environments where students dare to try, fail, and succeed. You build relationships with mutual respect and see students as active participants in their learning. You share the responsibility for learning with them and communicate clearly that everyone can develop. You adapt your teaching to both groups and individuals so that each student has the right conditions. At the same time, you show passion for teaching and learning – and let that passion be contagious. You design lessons that create motivation and highlight the real applicability of knowledge.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with authorization to teach grades F-3. Whether you have several years of experience or have recently graduated is not crucial; the most important thing is that you are confident in yourself and your role. We place great importance on personal suitability.

You have a professional demeanor towards everyone you meet and find it easy to build relationships. The needs of the students come first for you. You care about others and stand up for the school's core values.

Since digital technology is a good tool for making learning accessible, it is also important that you have good digital skills. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. You believe in the value of collegial learning, use assessment for learning to develop your teaching, and take responsibility for the students' knowledge development.
