Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a qualified teacher in Swedish as a second language for grades 1–6 to Elinelundsskolan! You will be part of a team of teachers who together plan and are responsible for the students' education and development. Your focus will be on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment.

You will teach students in grades 2–6 in Swedish as a second language, where you educate and support students in their social and academic development. You challenge students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others.

You will work closely with another teacher in Swedish as a second language. You will plan much of the teaching together as you work in parallel classes. You will also collaborate with teachers who teach Swedish to gain a holistic perspective on Swedish education. Therefore, we require good collaboration skills, both in planning and implementing teaching.

Qualifications

You must be a licensed teacher with the qualification to teach Swedish as a second language for grades 1–6. Previous experience as a teacher is an advantage. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work.

Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day. You need to have good relational skills as you will be teaching multiple classes. Based on evidence-based research, you develop your work.

Elinelundsskolan is located in a developing district in the southern parts of Malmö. We are close to exciting nature next to the limestone quarry, and our learning environments create good conditions for teaching and learning. The school is newly built with modern facilities, including workrooms for staff and group rooms for all home classrooms. The school is a K-9 school with approximately 730 students.
