The Adapted Primary School in Värnamo needs to expand with more substitute teaching assistants for our operations.

As a teaching assistant, you will work both during school hours and in after-school activities. The assignment applies during temporary absences of regular staff, which can be both planned and unplanned, meaning you may be asked to work at short notice, such as the same day, as well as for shifts further in the future.

Responsibilities

As a teaching assistant in an adapted school, you have the primary responsibility to lead, support, and challenge students in everyday situations. We focus on both the group and the individual by working on language development and accessible teaching, as well as a low-arousal approach. Working in a team with a holistic perspective and flexibility throughout the student's day is seen as a natural part of the job. As a teaching assistant, you participate in all of the students' activities during school hours and in after-school activities, adapting to the children's specific needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained teaching assistant. Those with similar qualifications, such as nursing assistants/childcare workers or teacher assistants, are also welcome to apply. The work requires that you are confident in your professional role, can work independently, and have a good ability to see opportunities in different situations. As a person, you have a good demeanor, strong collaboration skills, and an interest in working together in a team with various professional categories. Your approach is relational and focused on health-promoting and preventive work. You are flexible, attentive, and easily build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
