Hillerstorpsskolan is a K-9 school with about 200 students in grades K-6 and about 100 students in grades 7-9.

The teachers are divided into working teams. Ongoing collaboration exists between the different staff categories. Staff meet regularly for joint conferences for K-9. Thanks to the proximity to each other and shared staff rooms, there are good opportunities for conversations and contacts across the old grade boundaries, as well as short decision-making paths and closeness between employees and management. An important resource for the operation is the student health team consisting of a counselor, principal, school nurse, special educator, and career counselor.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a teaching assistant, you will support individual students during school hours and after school. In this position, you will serve as support for a student with neuropsychiatric disabilities, which includes difficulties with emotional regulation. The job also includes the daily administration associated with the profession and contact with students, guardians, and student care staff.

The mission is to create security, prevent escalation, work relationally, and provide the student with good conditions to succeed in school. You will work in a low-stress manner and support the student in lessons, during breaks, transitions, and other challenging situations. The mission also involves anticipating risk situations, working preventively, supporting the student in emotional regulation, and developing strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

We see that you have experience working with children/students with neuropsychiatric disabilities. You have knowledge of low-stress responses and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Your personal qualities include being secure and down-to-earth, clear yet warm in your interactions, stable in emotionally and physically demanding situations, as well as relationship-building and professional.

Previous experience in educational work is an asset. We place great importance on social competence and personal suitability.
