At Rydaholm School Unit, we are looking for a primary school teacher for after-school care. We offer you a stimulating job in a multicultural after-school care and school, with engaged and competent colleagues.

You should be an after-school teacher who is well-planned and who also takes opportunities for teaching and interaction in the moment. You should be able to challenge and inspire students to new discoveries in various learning environments, both indoors and outdoors. You should be able to develop students' imagination and ability to learn together with others through play, movement, and creativity, and through various forms of expression and working methods. In this way, you ensure that students have the opportunity to develop their personal qualities and their ability to collaborate and communicate.

In your planning work, you take great consideration of students' opinions and thoughts about the activities and ensure they are involved. You have a good ability to meet all students' needs for an active and valuable leisure time. You and the after-school team work closely with the student health team to develop teaching for all students, including those needing adjustments and special support.

Throughout the school year, we continue the professional development for staff regarding various aspects of teaching, such as language development methods and outdoor education. Through quality work, we strive to enhance students' language skills, activities, and values.

Rydaholm School has about 180 students, and in the school area, there is also Horda School, which has about 90 students. Both schools are primary schools with students from preschool class up to grade 6.

Job Responsibilities

Teaching in after-school care and in class and in smaller groups, both in lower and middle school. Collaboration and co-planning with other educators in after-school care and in the school, as well as in networks, are included. Some administrative tasks are also part of the assignment.

Qualifications

You are a licensed primary school teacher with a focus on after-school care. Experience in teaching or other experience of work/internship in after-school care/school is an advantage. You should have a good understanding of the after-school care's mission and governing documents. Furthermore, you as an applicant should have good IT skills and be accustomed to using digital tools in daily work.

Personal suitability is crucial when filling the position.
