Your new job

As a lead teacher, you will be a driving force in developmental and pedagogical issues and play a key role in leading collegial learning. You will primarily work with teaching and tasks related to teaching. You will initiate and drive projects aimed at developing teaching, and you will be a good role model for the team in everyday pedagogical work.

You will systematically plan, implement, follow up, analyze, and thereby improve teaching and develop the operations. The teaching will be characterized by language-developing methods and accessible learning, as these are fundamental to students' learning and development.

Your qualifications

You have worked as a certified teacher for at least four years. As a lead teacher, you collaborate well with management and develop co-leadership at the workplace, and you are a good ambassador for both the workplace and your employer. You are flexible and can work in different teams and across the municipality. Basic IT skills are required, and you use ICT as a natural part of teaching.

In the role of lead teacher, you will work to develop teaching for increased goal achievement. In addition, you will be a driving force in development issues and have a key role in leading collegial learning. This means anchoring research and proven experience in teaching.

The principal plans together with the lead teacher for conditions and possibly overarching development work.

You should have demonstrated a particularly good ability to improve students' academic results and a strong interest in developing teaching. Additionally, you will be assessed as particularly qualified for teaching and tasks related to teaching by the employer.

The role includes being a role model for colleagues and actively contributing to making teaching visible and working in accordance with the municipality's development work.

Recruitment process

The application should include a personal letter explaining why you are applying for the position, a description of your IT skills, and your academic qualifications. In your personal letter, describe how you view the role of lead teacher and how you can be a role model for other teachers in the municipality. Provide examples of development projects you have initiated, led, or participated in, and how they have impacted students' goal achievement.

• Degree certificate
• Study certificate
• The form “Principal/Manager's first statement”. To be filled out by your principal/manager (not applicable if you are already certified in Jönköping Municipality)
• The form “Principal/Manager's second statement”. To be filled out by your principal/manager, provided you are assessed as sufficiently skilled (not applicable if you are already certified in Jönköping Municipality)

Good to know

The role of lead teacher is a three-year appointment, during which you also have a permanent position as a teacher at Flahult School.

To facilitate the recruitment process, we ask you to attach relevant certificates and grades for the position you are applying for. Please note that the Education Act requires all employees to present an extract from the criminal record.

Before hiring new employees for our teaching positions, we must ensure that there is a valid teaching certification. Therefore, we ask you to attach a current teaching certification obtained from the Swedish National Agency for Education within the last two months.

Subject qualifications will be particularly weighted in the selection process. This means that qualifications in subjects where Flahult School has lower goal achievement will be prioritized to some extent.
