Kulltorpsskolan is a F-5 school where we work closely together in two teams – school and after-school care. We believe that "all students are everyone's students" and that our strength lies in collaboration, community, and commitment. Together, we strive to create the best possible learning environment for our students.

The school belongs to the Hillerstorp principal area, which means that some professional development and collaboration forums are held together with schools in Hillerstorp and Åsenhöga.

An important resource for the operation is the student health team, consisting of the principal, school counselor, school nurse, and special educator.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher in after-school care with us, you will play a central role in creating a meaningful, developing, and safe environment for our students, both during and after school hours. You will teach in after-school care as well as physical education and health during the school day.

At Kulltorpsskolan, we have a section in our after-school care. Here, we work closely together to provide students with a stimulating and educational leisure time where play and learning go hand in hand.

As a teacher in after-school care, you will collaborate with the school during the school day through various responsibilities, such as:

  • Physical education and health for grades F-5.
  • Recess activities where you create an active and safe recess environment with organized games and movement activities.
  • Resource support in class where you work closely with students and teachers to create an inclusive learning environment.

A significant part of the work is daily contact with students, guardians, colleagues, and the student health team. Administration, planning, and follow-up are natural components of the position to ensure high quality in the operation.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing the pedagogical activities of after-school care and wants to contribute to creating an inspiring and safe learning environment for our students!

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a degree and teaching certification with the authority to teach in after-school care. Previous experience in pedagogical work or working with children and youth is an advantage.

As an educator, you are secure, engaged, and passionate about children's development and rights. You have a positive and solution-focused attitude and a low-arousal approach where you combine clarity with attentiveness. You create a safe and stimulating environment where students feel seen and involved, and you have the ability to balance freedom and responsibility by setting clear but respectful boundaries.

You see the pedagogical mission of after-school care as an important part of the school's entirety and are driven to create a meaningful and developing learning environment for the students. With your creativity and commitment, you plan activities that inspire and challenge students while adapting teaching based on their needs and interests.

We are looking for a colleague with strong social skills and good collaboration abilities. You easily build and maintain good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and communicate clearly and professionally in all contexts. You have a flexible and solution-focused attitude and thrive in a role where you can help develop the operation.

Experience in value-based work, student influence, and various pedagogical tools and methods is advantageous, as well as the ability to adapt teaching to students' needs and create an environment where everyone has the opportunity to grow and develop.

OTHER

The position is a fixed-term employment for 6-12 months, with the possibility of permanent employment.
