At Kärnekullaskolan, we are looking for another inspiring and dedicated after-school teacher who wants to help build and shape our school and after-school activities! Our school, which opened in the autumn of 2023, is growing, and now is your chance to become part of our team. Our after-school care consists of two departments, Sunnanäng (F-1) and Junibacken (2-6), where we work closely together to create a fun and educational environment for our students. Our modern facilities are bright and spacious, designed for after-school activities and needs. Here you will find a studio, kitchen, and several play areas for each department. We also have a newly built sports hall, Habo Arena, and a school forest nearby – simply an inspiring place for both children and educators.

With us, preparation time between different assignments is a given. As an after-school teacher, your planning time is scheduled during school hours, both individually, departmentally, and collectively for both departments. You will be part of a team of ten after-school teachers distributed across two departments. In total, we have about 40 employees at Kärnekullaskolan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You are responsible for planning and implementing teaching based on the curriculum for after-school care together with the work team. You lead and develop the pedagogical work and create the best possible conditions for each student.

You want to make a difference for our students by believing in their abilities and encouraging creativity and curiosity. You will show and make it clear to each student that they can succeed in both big and small ways throughout the day. During the school day, you will be present as a collaborative after-school teacher.

Additionally, the job entails continuing to contribute to making Kärnekulla a place where every student wants to be, thrive, and develop to reach their full potential. We help each other with opening and closing, which means that working hours vary throughout the week.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a certified after-school teacher, has a positive outlook, and believes in the goodness of people. Understanding the value of relationships with both students and guardians as well as colleagues is likely your foremost quality. Furthermore, you are a skilled and committed after-school teacher who prioritizes the after-school care activities.
