Special Teacher at Kungsgårdsskolan

Kungsgårdsskolan is a F-6 school with 470 students, centrally located in Säter. The school has a clear vision where we work for "All students experience meaning, safety, joy, and a desire to learn".

During school hours, we work with a common lesson model, clear planning, and adjustments in the learning environments, which creates good conditions for students' learning and development. The school has developed a language-enhancing approach and uses visual support in teaching. We encourage movement during breaks and lessons in collaboration with SISU Dalarna.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Being a special teacher at Kungsgårdsskolan means that you meet many different students with various needs related to special support and learning challenges. You are responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating teaching together with colleagues and in close collaboration with the class teacher for each student. The school's special educator, counselor, and school psychologist are available for support, guidance, and consultation, and you as a special teacher are also part of the school's EHT team. The work with investigations for special support and the development of action plans is part of the assignment as a special teacher with us.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a special teacher at Kungsgårdsskolan, you will work in a team with two other special teachers. We prefer that you are a qualified special teacher in mathematics or language, reading, and writing.

We are looking for someone with relevant education, broad knowledge, and several years of experience in meeting students in need of special support and a tailored learning environment. Furthermore, we want applicants to have a conscious pedagogical approach where the student's participation and responsibility are self-evident. We appreciate curiosity and a constant desire to learn more about students in need of special support and how teaching can best be made accessible to all children. It is important that you feel secure in your professional role and understand the importance of close collaboration with colleagues and good communication with guardians.
