In Ludvika, children and youth are important! We demonstrate this by making children and youth the center of the municipal organization. Most resources directed towards children and youth have been gathered under one committee. This includes preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, and also individual and family care. A common feature of all activities is a conscious quality work to constantly develop and improve the work with children and youth.

Gonäs Preschool is located about 7 km from central Ludvika in a pleasant rural environment, in the village of Gonäs. The preschool has around 50 enrolled children distributed across 3 departments with bright, beautiful facilities. There is an opportunity to have inspiring teaching both outdoors and indoors. At Gonäs Preschool, several educators with extensive experience work. There is a good structure in the daily work, which creates a sense of security for both children and educators. The preschools in Ludvika are divided into different principal areas. Gonäs collaborates with the preschools in Saxdalen and Fredriksberg. We have, among other things, a common theme to facilitate collegial learning, experience exchange between preschools, and to help drive education forward so that all children have the best preschool experience possible. Our focus this educational year is to plan teaching based on the children's books Who Sees Dim and How Does Dim Feel.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher with us, you will work pedagogically with children aged 1-5 years.

Your most important task is to create and develop a safe and secure environment for the children, where they are encouraged and challenged to engage in activities as well as learning and taking responsibility. Together with your colleagues in the work team, you will create an environment that is based on the children's needs and interests, where children feel influence and can participate in shaping the preschool's environment and activities. This requires you to take personal responsibility and collaborate both within the work team and with parents and other staff.

Ludvika Municipality invests in systematic quality work for preschools. Through pedagogical documentation, the preschool is followed up, evaluated, and developed. In this work, you will be an important player in the shared responsibility to plan, implement, document, and follow up on activities based on applicable governing documents.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a preschool teacher education or teacher education for younger years with obtained teaching certification. You also need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written (native language or at least SFI D).

To succeed in the role of preschool teacher, you need to have the ability to create calm and security in the child group that promotes a creative and learning environment for the children. Your knowledge and understanding of the importance of play for learning and small children's development are very good.

Your approach is positive in meeting people, and you easily create good relationships with both children and adults. Your structured working method and sense of responsibility will make it easy for you to work independently and adapt to different situations.

Your ability to collaborate and communicate is good, and you see the work team as an asset where you together drive organizational development.

We consider it an advantage if you have knowledge in special education or communication and clarifying pedagogy.
