IT Architect for SharePoint OnPrem

Responsibilities

We are now seeking an IT architect for SharePoint OnPrem to our SharePoint Framework team at Trafikverket. This framework is then used by all other SharePoint applications at Trafikverket. You will primarily focus on new development and management of SharePoint OnPrem applications where you will be part of an agile team with 6 other people. You will also work on

• creating clever solutions in both new development and refactoring where every contribution impacts tens of thousands of users' ability to build and maintain both roads and railways
• contributing to a strong security mindset where you recognize the challenge of not being able to use cloud solutions, but are also ready to move towards internal solutions with Kubernetes and Docker a bit further down the line.

On SharePoint OnPrem, we are moving to Modern, where there are greater opportunities to build things on SPSE in other languages, e.g., React. We are also moving to reduce the custom solutions directly on SharePoint OnPrem and instead start using various self-service solutions on top of SharePoint OnPrem written in other programming languages.

As an IT architect for SharePoint OnPrem with us, you will be responsible for

• design and development of solutions for SharePoint OnPrem, including:
  • SharePoint Framework
  • Internal and external workspaces
  • Board portal for top management
  • Search center
• development of new, simplified solutions and integrations to meet business needs
• collaboration with requirements analysts and project teams to develop solution proposals
• ensuring reuse of functionality and compliance with architectural principles
• mentorship for developers within SharePoint OnPrem.

Possible locations for this position are: Borlänge, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Malmö, or Örebro.

Qualifications

We see that you are an IT architect who is primarily a problem solver, which for us means that you independently identify and tackle what needs to be done. You collaborate in a responsive manner and listen to users, requirements analysts, and developers, coordinating the resources needed for a successful outcome.

We also want you to have several years of work experience in:

• System design and solution proposals for applications made in SharePoint OnPrem.
• Development, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment of SharePoint OnPrem applications.
• Implementation of larger solutions such as management systems for large organizations.

Desirable experiences and skills:

• Competence in:
  • C# and PowerShell
  • SPFx
  • JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular
  • SharePoint Online
• Experience in training and coaching new developers within SharePoint OnPrem.
• Work according to Scrum/SAFe.
• Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
