Laboratory Medicine in Dalarna consists of clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, and transfusion medicine, where we work across departments. There is also a collaboration with clinical pathology/cytology. The operations are county-wide with laboratories in Avesta, Borlänge, Falun, Ludvika, and Mora.

You will work in an environment with modern analytical instrumentation that includes many different IT components.

We are currently looking for a system technician for the laboratory's IT systems at Laboratory Medicine Dalarna, located in Falun. Laboratory Medicine Dalarna has its own IT department with two employees, as well as six system administrators who support the IT solutions of the operations. The laboratory information systems used in Dalarna are Analytix and Prosang, in addition to these systems, there are several instrument-bound systems.

Job Responsibilities

Your job responsibilities will include the operation of the organization's systems, such as:

• Daily maintenance of the systems
• Participate in validation work and upgrades of the systems
• Involvement in the commissioning of new instruments and software and establishment of system documentation
• Hardware management such as computers, printers, label printers, etc.
• Contact with suppliers and the region's IT department
• System integration work

The systems we work in are mostly based on Microsoft products, such as MSSQL, IIS.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with a university degree in IT, or alternatively, you have post-secondary or other education acquired in combination with experience considered equivalent.

Meritorious:

• We would like you to have experience in server and application management, as well as integrations and network communication.
• Programming experience in JavaScript is also desirable.
• Knowledge of Linux is also a merit.

As a person, you are structured, responsible, and enjoy working both independently and with colleagues. You have a good ability to communicate and collaborate with both colleagues and suppliers, so you must be proficient in both Swedish and English, spoken and written. You are service-oriented, accommodating, and contribute to a good working atmosphere. The job requires great flexibility. Personal suitability is of great importance.
