As a senior system developer at the Swedish Transport Administration, you will help facilitate everyday life for residents and businesses across Sweden.
Senior System Developer in Operational Railway Systems
Job Responsibilities
We are strengthening our IT organization and increasing the pace of innovation at the Swedish Transport Administration with senior .NET developers for IKT railway (Information and Communication Technology). You will be part of a team that develops, manages, and participates in the operation of our operational and critical systems. Together with the team, you will maintain a high delivery capacity and continuously deliver value to users and train passengers.
IKT Railway is on an exciting journey where we are undergoing a transformation in both the technical platform and our working methods. The goal of this journey is to modernize our technical platform, where we will work with the latest .NET versions, test-driven development, short lead times to production, and an application environment where we primarily work with containers and Kubernetes at the core.
Our teams consist of several roles and competencies that collaborate in an agile working method. In the teams, we constantly work to develop and improve our working methods. We exchange ideas and innovation proposals and together solve the challenges we face.

Qualifications
Who are you?

You love to dive deep into technology and learn about the business that the IT systems are meant to support, and in collaboration with the business, develop solutions that satisfy users.
We are looking for someone who
- has a higher education/university degree in IT of at least 180 credits (120 points), e.g., computer scientist, software engineer, or other education combined with experience in the field that we consider equivalent
- has several years of relevant work experience in system development throughout the entire chain; requirements specification, design, programming, testing, and deployment (the position of senior system developer is usually reached after about 8 years)
- has several years of relevant work experience in programming within the Microsoft platform with C# and .NET
- has very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
It is advantageous if you
- have experience working in a technically leading role, e.g., Lead Developer
- have relevant work experience in mentoring other system developers
- have practical experience in one or more of the following technology areas:
- microservices architecture
- full-stack development
- frontend for web applications
- container technology such as Kubernetes/Docker
- observability with tools like Elastic/Kibana
- have practical experience in setting up server environments
