Gamla Byn AB is the municipal property company in Avesta municipality. The name derives from the old industrial community Gamla Byn, which has its origins from the 1630s when a copper refining plant was established in Avesta.

We have 1,099 apartments with a total area of approximately 73,400 m² and a commercial property portfolio amounting to approximately 128,900 m². The subsidiary Avesta Industristad AB holds a commercial property portfolio of approximately 98,100 m².

We are now looking for someone who wants to contribute to ensuring that our digital systems and processes function optimally and evolve with future technology, with a particular focus on digitization and the opportunities of AI.

The Position

As a system administrator with us, you will play a central role in ensuring that our property systems and business applications support our business goals. You will be responsible for managing, developing, and optimizing the systems and will work closely with both internal users and external suppliers. With digitization and AI being an important part of our future work, we hope you have an interest in exploring and implementing these technologies in our systems and workflows. If you also have knowledge and interest in IT security, security issues could become an exciting part of your role. You will also be a driving force in projects related to system integrations and digitization, where your technical expertise and ability to see the big picture will be crucial. The role reports to the CEO.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with several years of experience as a system administrator and a post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as IT, system science, or similar. Perhaps you have work experience from the real estate industry. You are analytical, solution-oriented, and have a strong ability to communicate and collaborate with people at different levels inside and outside the organization. Your initiative and desire to continuously improve our systems and processes make you a natural part of our team.
