About the role:

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will work on HVDC projects with responsibilities for both system documentation and software testing. Your responsibilities include:

  • Documentation: In the initial phases of the project, you will assist in creating and managing the project documentation, including the initial specifications.
  • Collaboration: You will work closely with other departments to ensure that all parts of the project are aligned and run smoothly.
  • System and cubic testing: Perform software testing in a factory environment and later upload programs to the control system.
  • Mentorship and training: As a new employee, you will receive comprehensive training and a dedicated mentor during your first year. The mentor will provide support and guidance and create a practical learning environment.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in practical testing both at our facility and at customer sites. Some assignments may last from a week to several months depending on the project's needs, such as detailed testing or power outages. Although you will receive support from the team, you are encouraged to take significant responsibility and ownership of your tasks and projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or automation.
  • English.
  • Knowledge of Modbus communication protocol.
  • Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers).
  • Knowledge of high voltage equipment.

Preferred:

  • Swedish.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C# or C++.
