About the role:
As a Junior Software Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will work on developing and maintaining the base code for control and protection in HVDC projects. The work involves programming, testing, and documentation, as well as the opportunity to work with technical tools such as Azure DevOps and Hidraw for code control.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Maintenance and further development of the base code used in HVDC solutions.
• Testing and verification of code changes to ensure high quality.
• Programming, integration of symbols in code flows, and graphical programming.
• Planning and organizing daily work, with responsibility for assigned tasks.

Development opportunities:
You will receive a comprehensive introduction and training in our systems and tools. There is an opportunity to work in different parts of the projects and find your niche within control and protection for HVDC.

About you:
We are looking for someone who is proactive, collaborative, and has the ability to work independently. You are solution-oriented, positive, and have a strong interest in technology and software development.

Requirements:

• Degree in electrical engineering, energy systems, software development, or computer engineering.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Interest in programming and software development.
• Experience with PLC and digital control technology.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of tools such as PS CAD and Matlab for simulation.
• Knowledge of Python, C#, or C++.
• Experience from the power industry.
