Are you our new team member?

Strandskolan is an F-9 school located in central Idre, close to both mountains, lakes, and forests. Approximately 140 students attend our school. We incorporate many outdoor activities into our teaching, such as mountain hiking, skiing, and winter camping. The School Sports Club is very active, and we participate in the RF-SISU Movement Initiative.

What you will be working with

You will be responsible for planning, conducting, and evaluating music lessons. You will also be a mentor for some students.

As a teacher, you will collaborate with other colleagues in your and other work teams in the school and leisure center, actively contributing to the development of good solutions that benefit the entire operation.

In your work, you will have continuous contact with parents and, when necessary, with external stakeholders, contributing to creating, managing, and developing good relationships.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who works well with others, listens, communicates, and resolves conflicts constructively. You create engagement and participation and easily adapt to changing circumstances. You remain calm and controlled in stressful situations and ensure the best for the entire operation.

Requirements:

Teaching certification with authorization to teach music
Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing

Preferred qualifications:

Knowledge of accessible learning environments and low arousal behavior

A record excerpt from the criminal records register is required for the position. Interviews are ongoing, so do not wait with your application! The position is permanent, starting in the spring semester of 2025.
