My name is Erik Lundin, and I am the principal of Mockfjärd School, an attractive school located near nature, which allows for many outdoor activities.

Every day, about 400 students receive their education at the school, distributed across grades F-9 and an after-school program. In the same building, there is also the municipality's adapted primary school, a school and community library, as well as the upper secondary school's IM program.

At Mockfjärd School, good relationships, knowledge at the center, and faith in the future are guiding principles. You should also know that we in Gagnef Municipality place great value on promoting and preventive measures aimed at creating a good learning environment for all students.

The school's student health team consists of school nurses, special educators, special teachers, school social workers, school psychologists, and principals. Mockfjärd School has a staff of about 70 people, with a qualification rate of 90%. Together, we drive the work and teaching forward, where you will certainly become an important part.

At Mockfjärd School, we have two special education groups, one for middle school students and one for high school students who need teaching in a smaller context.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position involve ensuring that you provide our students in the high school's special education group with good support in their learning. An important part of this responsibility is working to adapt the learning environment according to each student's individual needs and meeting the students where they are in their development. You will individually and together with your colleagues plan, implement, and evaluate the educational work based on the school's governing documents. Together with other mentors, you contribute to creating a whole around the students.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you need to have a good ability to plan your subject and lead your students based on the primary school curriculum. As a leader, you need to be able to see your students' varying needs and interests. You need to have an inclusive approach, based on good pedagogical insight with a well-thought-out view of knowledge and students. For the position, it is essential that you have good knowledge and experience working with students' varying challenges related to NPF.

Even though your main task is to be responsible for teaching in one of our special education groups, it is important that you can have a holistic perspective where you are interested in and work for the entire school's development work. For you to thrive in the role, it is therefore important that you place great value on collaboration with other professionals at the school, that you are structured yet flexible, and can quickly adapt to changing circumstances. You also need to find it easy to create good contacts with guardians and be diligent in maintaining clear documentation regarding your students.

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades 7-9 with qualifications to primarily teach Swedish, English, and Mathematics. Depending on whether you have qualifications in more subjects, we would be happy to discuss the design of the position to meet your wishes as much as possible. If you are a trained special teacher or have an education in special pedagogy, it is an advantage.

Conditions

The position is a 100% permanent employment with immediate start or by agreement.

Before employment, a teaching license and a valid extract from the National Police Board's criminal record must be presented.
