The Bjursås school area is evolving and changing for the future. The school area consists of four schools; Bjursåsskolan 7-9, Bjursåsskolan F-6, Grycksboskolan F-6, and Sågmyraskolan F-6, with a total of 600 students and almost 100 employees.
Our ambitions are high, and now we are looking for someone who wants to help shape the Sågmyraskolan leisure center!
At our school, we want every student to develop into their best self. Students should feel safe and well in school and have confidence in the adults around them. We work purposefully with the school's student health work to promote health and prevent illness. To achieve development and create a sense of unity, we work with collegial learning. It is important that students, guardians, and school staff take pride in their school. For us, it is important to believe in the power of collaboration leading to better results.
To achieve this, we need the best teachers, so all our teachers/staff should:
- Take responsibility for and have insight into the students' results, which means being responsive to each student's conditions and needs.
- Have high expectations for the students and their ability to develop.
- Capture and stimulate the students' curiosity, interest, and learning.
- Take responsibility for developing and growing in the profession.
Job Responsibilities
As a teacher/leisure leader in the leisure center at Sågmyraskolan, you will conduct educational activities with students, in close dialogue and collaboration with colleagues in the work team and teachers. You will plan activities linked to the curriculum Lgr 22 and present your planning to guardians and other colleagues at the school through our digital platform Unikum and visually at Sågmyraskolan.
The planned activities are systematically and continuously evaluated throughout the year in consultation with the staff, meaning that collegial learning is constantly present. We look forward to an employee with a strong focus on digital development, engagement in outdoor education, and an interest in working with children.
You can lead and plan the time at the leisure center in interaction with your colleagues. Furthermore, you can create schedules for yourself and your colleagues at the leisure center. You want to work to make the leisure center a time for children to move around while deepening the knowledge they have acquired during the scheduled school hours.
Qualifications
For the role, the following is required:
- That you have a teaching license for leisure centers
- Or another similar pedagogical education
Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone who is flexible, responsible, and creative. We assume that you have a strong desire to build good relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and management. Your leadership is characterized by clarity and structure. For the work to be successful, you need to have good teamwork skills and be relationship-oriented, as good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues are fundamental to the work. We also place high demands on your communication skills, as good communication is crucial for the work team to function well. Great importance is placed on flexibility and the ability to drive development in the business forward.
We also attach great importance to personal suitability and value your ability to engage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working as a teacher in leisure centers or for students in the lower ages
- Interest and experience in working with active breaks as a developing form of education and outdoor education
- Experience working with digital documentation/communication
- Other educational and/or professional experience related to building relationships with people
Employment Conditions
Fixed-term position full-time VT-25 with entry in Jan/Feb. Please attach educational certificates to your application as these will be requested if you are considered for the position. Alternatively, certificates can be submitted in connection with the interview.
