The Swedish Social Insurance Agency's department for sickness insurance is seeking experienced lawyers for the legal support area, which is part of the sickness insurance department. This area gathers all legal support for the department's employees located in 59 locations across the country. The operational area consists of specialists, departmental lawyers, litigators, and reviewers.
Legal Support, Development, and Collaboration
The role of a lawyer within an insurance department entails a particular responsibility for the correct and uniform application of social insurance and other applicable legislation, such as data protection laws. Based on legal governance, you are responsible for monitoring legal developments within the insurance area where you operate. By being a close legal support to the handling operations and development activities, you contribute to good legal quality. You support managers and employees in legal matters and share your knowledge. You contribute to good collaboration both within the department and with other departments, including the agency's legal department.
As a lawyer, you handle confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is essential that you have a high level of security awareness to work with us.

We are looking for someone who
- has a law degree (jur.kand.) or equivalent legal education
- acts on their initiative and takes responsibility for high-quality results
- has a systematic and meticulous working method
- can understand and analyze complex issues
- communicates clearly, concisely, and structured in both speech and writing
- collaborates effectively to achieve common goals
- has several years of experience in qualified legal work, for example, at a government agency or court.
It is advantageous if you
- have good knowledge of administrative law and social insurance law
- have good knowledge of public access and confidentiality legislation as well as other agency law
- have good knowledge of data protection issues
- have knowledge in the area of sickness insurance
- have experience in project management
- have experience in conducting training sessions.

A number of positions, permanent, full-time, with start date by agreement. A probationary period may be applicable.
