The Sjöbo Health Center is now offering a specialist position for those interested in working fully or partially with home healthcare. We are looking for you who are a specialist physician in general medicine, geriatrics, or internal medicine and want to work together with a wonderful team at the Health Center and in the municipality.

We are a health center with over 50 employees and have approximately 12,700 registered patients as well as 1,000 registered children at the child health center. Our interdisciplinary collaboration between different professional groups and the municipality is central to our work. The Sjöbo Health Center is surrounded by beautiful natural areas and is within commuting distance from Ystad, Lund, Malmö, and Simrishamn as well as other nearby locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a physician with us, you are part of a team where everyone has the opportunity to work at the top of their competence. As a specialist physician, you primarily work with home healthcare but can also work in the clinic alongside four other specialist physicians, eight resident physicians, and two interns.

You are responsible, together with two other specialists, for home healthcare in Sjöbo, Blentarp, and Lövestad. We are responsible for six residential facilities as well as a short-term care facility and currently have established rounds and scheduled time for home visits/SIP.

If interested, you will also work with other professional groups at the health center to assess, treat, and follow up on patients. We have implemented an emergency team with adapted facilities for that and established a training health center for resident physicians. Our goal is to contribute to good health and quality of life for our patients by ensuring they come into contact with the right person and receive the right care and treatment.

The position is full-time and is a permanent position, but we also offer the possibility of part-time or hourly employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare, and you have specialist training in general medicine, geriatrics, or internal medicine. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are also a requirement.
