The area of operations (VO) intensive and perioperative care (IPV) is responsible for anesthesia and surgical nursing at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) in Malmö. IPV includes Surgical Operations Service (OK), Women's Surgery Operations Service (OKK), Orthopedic Operations Service (OO), Reconstructive Surgery Operations Service (ORK), and anesthesia service for hand surgical procedures.

IPV utilizes KTM for specialist nurses and is also a pilot department in the Magnet Model. KTM is a structured competence development program that creates common administrative structures for professional development and continuous learning within Skåne University Hospital. The purpose is to increase the conditions for good and safe care and contribute to making Skåne University Hospital an attractive workplace. This initiative is part of the work with the Magnet Model aimed at improving care and working conditions.

OK is an exciting surgical department under constant development. We provide anesthesia and surgical services for elective lower gastro surgery, endovascular/vascular surgery, urology, transplantation surgery, emergency surgery, and anesthesia for radiological examinations. The unit is responsible for emergency alerts within the hospital and staffing for transfers between hospitals. Starting in February 2025, we will move into entirely new facilities in the new hospital.

As a new employee with us, we offer you an individually tailored introduction program based on your competence. You will receive guidance from other operating room nurses with extensive experience. Since we value development, we continuously work on competence development for our staff. Great opportunities will be provided to help further develop the unit's work.

In the department, nurses have quota agreements that provide reduced working hours, and we schedule in Time Care/Multi Access.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare and have further education in surgical nursing. Knowledge of Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is a requirement. If you have several years of experience as an operating room nurse in highly specialized care, this is an advantage.

You are confident in your role as a nurse and have the ability to make both large and small decisions. You contribute to a good atmosphere in the team through your communication skills and your way of collaborating with colleagues and the environment in an unpretentious manner.
