- Working in surgery in Kristianstad is very varied with a good balance between theory and practice. The surgical area (VO) includes surgical activities at CSK. The operations in Kristianstad include both planned and emergency services and are divided into vascular, colorectal, breast and plastic, upper gastro/endocrine, and emergency teams. The operations include everything from wards, surgery, to outpatient clinics and emergency duty.

Centralsjukhuset i Kristianstad (CSK) is the emergency hospital of northeastern Skåne. Emergency medical care is provided here around the clock by qualified and dedicated staff. CSK has the resources of a large hospital and the closeness and community of a smaller hospital. We are about 2,600 employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for non-licensed junior doctors for our departments within VO surgery at Centralsjukhuset i Kristianstad. The positions are temporary contracts running from 2025-08-01 to 2026-02-28.

The job responsibilities are typical for a junior doctor in a surgical department, such as rounding with the responsible physicians, admitting and discharging patients, writing referrals and prescriptions, etc. In addition to working in our departments, we offer the opportunity to receive an introduction to work in the emergency department. After the introduction, there is the possibility to take extra on-call shifts on weekends as the primary surgical on-call.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a junior doctor. We welcome those who have a medical degree and are waiting for residency, or those who have completed up to the ninth semester of medical training and are therefore eligible to work as a temporary non-licensed junior doctor on a general exemption. Language proficiency in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale is a requirement.

As a person, you are curious and can take your own initiatives as appropriate. You have high social competence and see it as a matter of course to meet your patients in the best way. Furthermore, you find it easy to collaborate, are flexible, and have good communication skills.
