At the emergency department in Lund, we provide highly specialized emergency care and we are one of Skåne University Hospital's (Sus) largest operations. We take care of 65,000 patients per year, making us one of Sweden's largest emergency departments.
The emergency department is the hospital's gateway. Here you meet many people, which means that the pace of work varies from one moment to the next, and no day is the same. We are about 200 employees who together are responsible for the initial, acute care of severely ill and injured patients in medicine, infection, surgery, urology, and orthopedics. During on-call hours, we also have ear, nose, and throat services. Several emergency doctors and those specializing in this field work here. There are also several specialist-trained emergency nurses and more who are studying for their specialist education.
At our workplace, we work according to Region Skåne's competence and service model, which provides a clear structure for your learning and career opportunities within our organization. This allows you to move within the five phases of the competence development program. We are now looking for nurses for the specialist phase (phase 4) of the program.
