The Nephrology Section at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) has a broad profile and is responsible for basic kidney care in southwestern Skåne as well as advanced nephrological care in the Southern Healthcare Region. The Nephrology Section includes four hemodialysis departments and two inpatient departments, one located in Lund and one in Malmö. Additionally, we run outpatient clinics at both locations with a wide range of different diagnoses and kidney transplant patients. The section is also connected to a unit for training patients in peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis treatment. Within the nephrology section, experimental and clinical research is conducted focusing on dialysis, systemic vasculitis, GFR markers, proteinuria, transplantation, and epidemiology.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now looking for a specialist physician for the Nephrology Section in Malmö.
Your responsibilities include working in the Nephrology Section, primarily based in our peritoneal dialysis unit, transplantation area, and future research and development of the operations. The responsibilities include surgical procedures involving the insertion and removal of peritoneal dialysis catheters. On-call duties within both nephrology and internal medicine occur regularly.
The place of employment is Malmö, but work may also occur in other locations within the region.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, you have specialist competence in nephrology. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. You should have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.
Experience in internal medicine as well as clinical skills and independence are meritorious. We prefer that you have experience in peritoneal dialysis and transplantation. Interest in research and development is highly meritorious.
At a university hospital unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and education. This can be acquired through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students, as well as physicians in training and as co- or main supervisors of doctoral candidates. Clearly describe in your application any completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience in supervision, and teaching at various levels.

NOTE! These digital documents are forwarded for expert assessment; therefore, they must accompany your application. Non-Nordic dissertations must be attached to the application and assessed by the Swedish Council for Higher Education and meet the requirements for a doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University.
