Our department is based on the concept of "Hospital doctor/hospitalist". The team has a holistic approach to the patient that is not limited by any predetermined specialty affiliation. Therefore, we have patients who traditionally belong to other specialties. Our patients mainly come from the Emergency Department and the Acute Care Unit (AVA) for further investigation and treatment. The patients are all adults, but with a focus on the multi-sick elderly patient. Our goal is to care for more different types of patients with mixed specialty needs, in close collaboration between the department and a network of specialty-specific consultants.

The department also has a clear focus on education/development of staff within internal medicine. The positions are partly staffed from the medical departments to enable structured development of employees. As support in competency development, there are team leaders and reflection/education is part of the work structure in the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome two nurses who want to join our community and who are active in their own professional development. Furthermore, you will contribute to the further development of the department and the well-being of our patients!

In the clinical work with the patient, you will have a broad patient group. You will work together with nursing and assistant nursing colleagues in teams and collaborate with various specialty areas depending on the patient's needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed nurse with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. We welcome both newly graduated and experienced nurses.

We value that you have a humble approach towards both patients and colleagues. For a rewarding collaboration, we also see that you are flexible, have good prioritization skills, and can make independent decisions while valuing teamwork. You have readiness to act and can change your planning according to how the situation looks, as we work within an acute setting. Furthermore, you have good self-awareness, are flexible, and have good collaboration skills. Great importance is attached to personal suitability and a genuine interest in working within internal medicine.
