Make a difference. Every day.
Do you want to be part of our competent team and work with person-centered care in a dynamic and varied environment? Are you interested in pre- and postoperative care with diverse tasks? We are now looking for a nurse for the pre- and postoperative unit with a base placement at ORK (Operation Reconstructive Surgery).
Our unit is part of the area of intensive and perioperative care (IPV) responsible for anesthesia and surgical nursing at Skåne University Hospital in Malmö.
The pre- and postoperative unit at ORK is open Monday to Friday but is currently undergoing a merger that means you as an employee will be able to rotate to our three other pre- and postoperative units in the future with partial around-the-clock operations. The units that will be included in the pre- and postoperative unit are the pre- and postoperative units for surgery, orthopedics, gynecological surgery, and reconstructive surgery. The position involves a base placement in ORK's pre- and postoperative unit with planned rotations to our other similar units.
We want you to thrive, develop, and want to stay with us. Therefore, we work according to the Magnet Model and drive initiatives such as our Competence and Service Model with a focus on continuous and lifelong learning. The Competence and Service Model is divided into different phases that build on each other, where each phase involves deepened knowledge and skills. In the later phases, you will be qualified to apply for positions that involve career opportunities and increased responsibility. The Competence and Service Model provides a clear structure for your learning and career opportunities within our organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In our unit, we work to provide patients with the best possible care before and after surgery. As a nurse in the pre- and postoperative units, you will come into contact with patients (both adults and children) across many different specialties. Our team values collaboration, respect, and empathy in all interactions, both with patients and their relatives as well as colleagues.
With us, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work in a competent team with close collaboration between different professions.
- Contribute to ensuring high-quality care before and after surgery.
- Continue to develop in your professional role through continuous learning and skills development.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, you have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. If you also have experience or specialist training in emergency care, surgical/urological care, pre- and postoperative care, or intensive care, we consider it an advantage.
You are engaged, confident in your professional role, and want to work in a dynamic environment. You find it easy to collaborate and have the ability to prioritize in acute situations. We expect that you, like us, are driven by the desire and interest to develop postoperative care. Additionally, you are motivated to actively participate in the continuous improvement process we are in. Of course, you work according to Region Skåne's values. We place great importance on personal suitability.
An extract from the suspicion and criminal record register will be made before any employment.
In this recruitment, we apply ongoing selection. We warmly welcome your application today!
