Hlins Hus is a CBT-oriented outpatient care for women over 18 years old with substance abuse issues in Örebro municipality. Our goal is to create a safe and creative space for women through our outpatient services, where they can reflect, process, and find their independence on the journey towards a meaningful life. Our daily activities are based on a well-structured schedule aimed at giving participants the opportunity to identify, in a safe environment, negative automatic thoughts, behaviors, and life rules, which we gradually help each other find alternatives to. The daily activities take place on weekdays between 09:00-16:00, and we also offer a shorter, voluntary weekend activity each week.

The daily agenda consists of pick-up, a shared breakfast with the opportunity for reflection on a short text, planning of the agenda, group sessions with varying themes, a shared activity (e.g., bowling, horseback riding, training, etc.), lunch, and transportation home. Each day is planned to create a safe recovery environment for our participants, as well as to provide opportunities for social training, support in rehabilitation, and a positive context to belong to.

Out of concern for both our clients and participants, and as a guarantee that Hlins Hus is a drug-free place for positive change, participants continuously provide urine samples. Dependency on alcohol and drugs must be regarded as a primary illness. Sobriety and drug-free living are the obvious foundation for a successful treatment outcome.

Job Description:

We are looking for someone with previous experience in social work focusing on substance abuse and dependency. You are a responsible and stress-resistant person who can contribute to safety and stability for our participants. Together with us colleagues, you will ensure that the daily operations run smoothly with transportation, planning, structuring, cleaning, urine samples, and other routines. In addition, you will also be responsible for the daily summaries that are written, thus you have good knowledge of Swedish both in speech and writing.

Working hours are scheduled on weekdays between 09:00-16:00, as well as a weekend activity of about 2 hours every third weekend. You will also have phone duty every third week between 16:00-22:00 on weekdays and 10:00-22:00 on weekends.

You need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. It is important that you have a positive view of people, great empathy, and an ease in building good relationships. You need to have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in stressful situations. You are good at collaborating with colleagues and are happy to share your knowledge and experiences with the group.
