We are now looking for a local coordinator with a special assignment regarding security and perimeter protection for the physical environment unit!

Job Responsibilities

As a local coordinator with a special assignment regarding security and perimeter protection in the preschool administration, you will primarily work operationally with security within the physical environment, responsible for coordinating and communicating issues related to the facilities and properties of the organization. You will carry out this work in close collaboration with the local coordinators working in the section. In this position, you will work with security, locking, alarm, and access control systems. Responsibility for monitoring the administration's systematic fire protection work and the fire service's supervision is part of the job.

Your responsibility as a local coordinator with a special assignment regarding security and perimeter protection includes the important task of working with damage-limiting and damage-preventive measures, which encompasses the protection of personnel and property within physical security.

The role includes ensuring that the operations comply with Malmö city's security policy and associated guidelines by monitoring and controlling the level of compliance. To initiate, support, and stimulate security awareness in the operations, it is included to advocate for security issues, point out deficiencies, and propose measures. To conduct effective security work, it is part of the assignment to collaborate and work together with colleagues, preparedness coordinators, and information security coordinators. Collaboration with other administrations within Malmö city also occurs, among other things, within the framework of Malmö city's security coordinator network.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant post-secondary education in security or property management and at least 1 year of work experience in this field. It is also an advantage if you have a university degree focused on security or property management or if you have previously worked with these issues in the public sector.

You need to have knowledge of locking, alarm, access control systems, and perimeter protection, as well as basic knowledge of laws and regulations in the security field.

The job requires good communication and collaboration skills, as well as great flexibility since a large part of the work is done in collaboration with others in various subject areas. You must also be able to take initiative and work independently.

The position requires a B driver's license and that you have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

About the Workplace

The preschool administration is one of the largest administrations in Malmö city, with approximately 4,600 employees who daily meet around 17,000 children and their guardians at our 230 preschools.

As part of the physical environment unit, you will be part of a competent team of 9 employees in our section. Our work is carried out in close collaboration with other functions within the unit. We have a good and open communication climate and care about a good working environment. The work is performed at our office in central Malmö with an open landscape but also digitally through remote work. To be successful in our mission, we focus on professional and good relationships but also on creating space for a good working climate.

The physical environment unit conducts strategic analyses of local needs, proposes new premises and disposals, develops and improves the physical environments in collaboration with operations and property owners. Additionally, the unit coordinates the administration's internal security work and procurement. The unit also provides support and service to the administration's operations, drives development, and participates in cross-municipal investigations.
