We are looking for an experienced Interim Chief Financial Officer for a government agency in Stockholm. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring high quality in financial management and contributing to the continued development of standardized working methods. Your focus will be:

• Budgeting, follow-up, and reporting

• Quality assurance of financial work

• Implementation of standardized processes

• Digitalization and development of financial flows

The role does not include personnel responsibility.

Who we are looking for

To succeed in this role, you need to have a solid background from government agencies and extensive experience in financial management.

Requirements

Relevant academic education At least 5 years of experience in leadership roles within government agencies Experience working at the management level of government agencies At least 5 years of experience in financial work within government agencies Documented experience in business development & digitalization in the financial area

Practical information about the assignment

Location: Stockholm (50% remote work possibility) Assignment period: October 20, 2025 – February 28, 2026 (possibility of extension until March 31, 2026) Scope: 100% Start: as soon as possible after signing the contract, but no later than October 15, 2025 Remote work is possible up to 50%, but the needs of the organization always dictate
