About Aira

As a Senior Accountant, you will strengthen our Finance team and contribute directly to Aira’s mission: transforming how Europe heats its homes. We are a young, forward-thinking team where everyone shares a passion for change, while constantly striving for structure and control wherever possible.

Today, residential heating accounts for 10% of Europe’s CO emissions, while energy costs continue to rise dramatically. At Aira, we are here to change that — by delivering sustainable, affordable, and smart energy solutions that make a real difference for people and the planet.

With our intelligent Aira Heat Pump at the heart, we’re making the switch to clean energy-tech easier and more affordable. Helping Europe turn off gas and slashing energy costs one home at a time.

Founded in 2022, and with 1200+ employees and counting, Aira is driving the clean energy revolution by providing homes with modern clean energy-tech solutions such as solar power, battery storage solutions and heat pumps. With a state-of-the-art production facility in Poland, and HQ in Stockholm, Sweden, and hubs across the UK, Germany and Italy, Aira is well on track to install clean energy-tech into 5 million homes by 2034.

About the role

This role is about elevating and streamlining business processes and internal controls — not only refining what already exists, but also shaping new ways of working that strengthen our entire organization globally.

While we have achieved significant progress at the parent company level, the next step is to embed these structures across our subsidiaries, where operations are more dynamic and complex. By aligning local markets with group-wide standards, you will ensure consistency, efficiency, and scalability.

This role is about more than governance — it’s about empowering local teams with clear, effective frameworks that drive sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Aira is in a phase of rapid growth, with new tasks and projects continuously arising.

What you’ll be doing

  • Ongoing bookkeeping and monthly reconciliation/analysis of the parent company
  • Superuser for our ERP system, both centrally and towards the markets (Dynamics)
  • Administrator for the corporate bank, both centrally and towards the markets
  • Expense reporting and main point of contact for HR regarding Finance-related questions
  • Involved in cash flow planning for the group
  • Support the business controllers with calculations and assumptions
  • Support markets with processes and month-end closing
  • Review market reporting in the consolidation system (AARO)
  • Internal controls

What you’ll bring to the role

  • At least 3-4 years of accounting experience in a global company
  • Experience of reconciliation of an entire company
  • Analytical experience and skills
  • Experience of working with an ERP system, preferably Dynamics
  • Education within Accounting and/or Finance
  • A flexible and solution-oriented mindset
  • Good structure and open mindset
  • You need to be fluent in Swedish and English

What is in it for you?

  • Gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing scale-up, with a supportive and inclusive culture, and career advancement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams across international markets and launch products globally.
  • Develop and grow personally and professionally in an entrepreneurial-minded environment.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, solution-oriented culture, tackling challenges and driving meaningful solutions that make a positive impact on the world.
  • Influence the company's success, with a visible impact on product development and market growth.
  • Enjoy our brand-new office at Norra Stationsgatan 93 in Stockholm. Conveniently located near public transport, with Sankt Eriksplan and Odenplan stations just a few minutes walk away.

At Aira, we champion next-generation energy as well as diversity and inclusion. We firmly believe that a diverse workforce fosters innovation and creativity, enhancing our ability to serve customers and communities effectively.
