A position focusing on children and youth

Habo parish, located by the shores of Lake Vättern, about 15 km northwest of Jönköping, consists of three active and well-functioning congregations with many meeting places for both children and adults.

Habo is an expanding municipality with well-developed local services and the opportunity to live a good life close to nature and outdoor activities. Many families with children live in our municipality, which has approximately 13,080 inhabitants, of which about 8,350 are church members. In the parish with Habo, Gustav Adolf's, and Brandstorp congregations, we are a team of 26 employees working around four churches and one chapel.

Our activities are broad, and we have a vibrant worship life, a stable economy, well-maintained buildings and cemeteries, and, not least, engaged employees, both paid and volunteers. In our renovated Church House in Habo, there are new, functional offices and parish facilities. Habo parish is facing new exciting challenges as we are in a phase of innovation and development.

You will work together with others to plan and lead children's and youth groups of all ages and be part of the confirmation team. Create meetings through new and existing meeting places.

The position includes evening work and weekend duties as well as camp activities. You should be flexible and enjoy the changing nature of the work throughout the year.

We are looking for someone who:

· is an educated parish educator or has another educational background or experience that we assess as equivalent.

· has good experience working with parish work aimed at children and youth.

· enjoys working together with others and can take personal responsibility for planning and structuring your work.

· is well-grounded in the beliefs, confessions, and teachings of the Church of Sweden.

· can meet people of all ages.

· can use digital tools and easily communicate in both speech and writing.

· has a knack for creating and developing relationships and working towards set goals.

· has a B driver's license and access to a car.
