Field Secretary to the Youth Reception

The Citizen Administration consists of seven sections, one of which is Preventive Measures, with approximately 15 employees.

Due to an expansion of the position, we are now seeking a field secretary for the field operations. The section consists of leisure leaders, a counselor at the youth reception, mediators, and TSI coordinators (Early and Coordinated Interventions).

Description

We are looking for a counselor for the Youth Reception as our employee will be on parental leave. We seek someone who enjoys working with young people and has a good ability to build trust and instill security. You are expected to work independently and in a structured manner while also having good collaboration skills since we have close interdisciplinary cooperation at the reception. You will also be part of the Citizen Administration's preventive team, which includes field secretaries, leisure leaders, and mediators.

At the youth reception, we work to promote the mental and sexual health of young people. The youth reception should be based on the needs of the young person, regardless of gender, gender identity, ethnic background, religion/belief, functional variation, and sexual orientation. The target group is young people aged 13 to 21 years. The reception is staffed by midwives and counselors.

Job Responsibilities

The counselor primarily works with individual conversations that can be advisory and supportive. The job responsibilities include outreach work, which consists of receiving class visits and visiting schools. Some other outreach activities may occur, which could be at leisure centers or schools in the municipality.

Qualifications

You need to have a degree in social work or a higher education that the employer deems equivalent. It is an advantage if you have experience with similar tasks. You need to have good knowledge of psychosocial and sexual health, as well as good knowledge of conversation methodology and feel comfortable working independently, planning your own work, and actively collaborating with internal and external partners such as social services, schools, and healthcare.
