Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take the initiative and see what needs to be done, as the individual lacks verbal communication, so having patience and being helpful with communication is part of everyday life. Work shifts occur both in the individual's home and at a daily activity center.

We are now looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• wants to work with a young man in his 30s living in Nässjö
• has good knowledge of Swedish
• is tolerant of pets
• is smoke-free
• has experience with autism
• is physically fit as walking, training, and swimming occur frequently

It is also an advantage if you:

• have a healthcare education or have worked as a personal assistant before
• have a B driver's license

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current employment form is a temporary position starting immediately, with an end date in mid-May 2025, which may be extended. The position is approximately 50%. Work shifts are varied from 16:30-07:30 or 07:30-07:30 on weekdays and weekends. Currently, a 6-week schedule is in place. Waiting time between 00:00-05:30 each night.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensation is in accordance with collective agreements.

Start date

Immediately according to agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
