About the Unit

The Swedish Armed Forces Combat School for Defense Medicine (FSS) at FömedC in Gothenburg is a joint resource of the Armed Forces that conducts training, exercises, and education in defense medicine, underwater, on the surface, on land, and in the air.

FSS consists of three departments: the Education Department, the Exercise Department, and the Simulation and Method Department. The Education Department conducts courses, training, and quality assurance of the defense medical training conducted at other units in Sweden. The Exercise Department plans, conducts, and evaluates training and exercises in defense medicine. The Simulation and Method Department conducts and develops defense medical simulation and pedagogical methods. The position is located in the Education Department.

Main Responsibilities

As an administrator in educational development, you will play a central role in the development and digitalization of the course activities at FSS. Your mission is to drive and support the work of creating a modern and qualitative educational environment. You are responsible for finalizing frameworks, guidelines, and quality assurance processes, as well as driving the development of pedagogical methods and course plans based on clear taxonomy.

The work also involves implementing and optimizing the use of digital tools such as iPads, FM Learning Portal, computers, and Office365. You will also ensure that both staff and course participants receive the technical support and training required to use these tools effectively. You will also work on the competence development of the staff at FSS with a focus on pedagogy.

The Armed Forces are growing, and the tasks may evolve over time.

Qualifications:

• completed relevant higher education, such as a certified upper secondary school teacher or equivalent as assessed by the employer
• documented experience in pedagogical work
• good ability to express oneself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Class B driver's license.

Desirable:

• experience working within the Armed Forces.
• experience working in the Prio system or another SAP system.
• good knowledge of English.
• experience working in some type of case management system used within government agencies.
• experience working in digital learning platforms and online learning.
