Job Description
Do you want to work on a project focusing on integration, participation, wellness, and health? Do you enjoy leading and coordinating projects? Then you might be the coordinator we are looking for, tasked with leading our project group and working proactively within wellness and physical activity.
In the role of coordinator, you will work on an overarching and strategic level with our ongoing project. You will handle personnel administration and planning in the Personec personnel system, as well as lead and allocate work in the ongoing operations in consultation with the unit manager.
Examples of tasks:
- Responsible for the overall coordination related to the project
- Be the contact person for the project, handle inquiries
- Together with the steering group, plan and develop the operations
- Ensure that strategies and direction are followed
- Ensure that follow-up and evaluation of interventions in the project are carried out
- Convene and lead project meetings
- Collaborate with other functions within the management
- Collaborate with other stakeholders such as associations, functions within city areas, stakeholders with other assignments in public health, schools, etc.
- Personnel planning, resource management, and participation in recruitment
In your work, you will have the opportunity to influence the working methods within the project's framework to some extent and develop your own skills. You will be part of the wellness department and participate in working groups with other colleagues in the project, unit manager, and other units with proactive assignments. You will be part of the project's steering group and report directly to the unit manager.
In addition to this role in the project, which operates throughout the Gothenburg area, the project currently consists of three health developers. These are active in each district (northeast, southwest, and Hisingen). The project is expected to expand with additional resources by 2025.
We are now looking for someone who wants to work on this assignment during 2025 and 2026. The working hours are during the day with flextime. Evening and weekend work may occur.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university degree in public health or another education deemed equivalent by the employer. You have previous experience in developing and managing projects, as well as experience in leading workgroups and feel confident in that role. Furthermore, you have experience in project collaboration and interacting with people from different backgrounds and circumstances. It is desirable that you have experience in a similar role. The position requires a B driver's license and good computer skills. It is a merit if you have previously worked with Personec and personnel planning.
To succeed in this role, we see that you are goal- and result-oriented, motivated by defined goals, and have the ability to translate them into concrete actions. You are confident in your leadership role, stand by decisions made, and can convey uncomfortable messages when needed (socially secure). You have clear communication skills and the ability to adapt your communication to the recipient and situation. Through your communication, you bring enthusiasm and energy that encourages good performance, team spirit, and increased motivation (influencing others). The role also requires you to be flexible, quickly change your perspective and approach, and see opportunities in changes.

The Sports and Association Administration works based on the City of Gothenburg's Sports Program. A program that aims to create a common view of the development of sports within the City of Gothenburg. The program's goals and strategies should contribute to increased physical activity, strengthened club sports, and equal sports participation.
According to the sports program, the administration's efforts should, among other things, target groups that are socioeconomically weaker and in various ways enable more activities specifically aimed at girls and women. In the autumn of 2023, the She Moves project was launched with the aim of increasing physical activity among the target group. The project was initially planned to last for two years, but in the autumn of 2024, it was extended until December 31, 2026.
