In October 2025, our new group home will open in the central town of Bollebygd. A group home focused on adults with autism. Therefore, we are looking for someone who wants to build the operation together with us. Our mission is to provide support and services based on individual needs and wishes, and we actively work to promote equality and full participation in community life for our users. The work is characterized by a pedagogical approach, a structured working method, and a low-arousal and respectful attitude towards users, relatives, colleagues, managers, and other partners such as home healthcare.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Our new group home has 6 places for adults aged 18-65.

The support needs of our users vary, ranging from care with full ADL (Activities of Daily Living) to more verbal support and guidance. The goal is for those living here to receive individualized support to live as independently as possible. The role of the support assistant involves providing the residents with individually tailored support through a low-arousal approach and encouraging and motivating them to lead as independent a life as possible.

As a support assistant, your role is to support users in participation and create opportunities to influence decisions and interventions. You provide support in everyday life with everything from communication, stimulation of leisure activities to household chores. Your role is to adapt your support and contribute to a good and independent life. You collaborate with other people around the user, such as relatives, guardians, and healthcare. Some of the residents are in great need of care and require assistance with transfers. By establishing and following implementation plans, you ensure that the users' needs are the focus. They receive a safe home with the opportunity to live like everyone else. In your role, you will motivate and stimulate the person's independence and development.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a degree from the Health and Care program (support assistant training equivalent to a nursing assistant) or the Child and Leisure program with a focus on social or pedagogical work.

Previous experience working with the target group of autism, intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injury, and/or mental health issues is required.

Communication is an important part of the job, which requires you to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.

If you have experience with any of the following methods, this will be an advantage:

• LAB (low-arousal approach)
• Clarifying pedagogy
• ACC (alternative and augmentative communication)
• TAKK (sign language as alternative and augmentative communication)
• MI (Motivational Interviewing)
• IBIC (Individual's Needs in Focus)

As a person, you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You base your actions on everyone's equal value and create a good atmosphere in the meeting. You have an open and positive attitude as you have the user's/customer's needs as the starting point for your actions. You easily adapt your working methods based on changed conditions and new information. You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and drive your work forward. You also work well with others and listen and communicate clearly.

A driving license (B) is a requirement.
