Social Services Nordost is hiring a Senior Social Worker
Social Services Nordost works to provide residents in northeastern Gothenburg with equitable and effective welfare, enabling them to live safe and independent lives. The department supports individuals and families according to the Social Services Act. We also offer activities and meeting places that can provide children and young people with a meaningful leisure time. Additionally, the department actively works with crisis support, safety issues, community life, public health, and contacts with residents and civil society.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are expanding the management within Adult 2 and are therefore looking for a Senior Social Worker for our eviction prevention team. Social Services Nordost has five adult units that work with individuals aged 18 and over. We have a reception unit that receives and distributes cases to the three investigation units, including Adult 2. In addition, we have a unit with various execution resources. The starting point for all of us is the Social Services Act and the politically established goals.
Adult 2 has several different assignments and is also responsible for investigating domestic violence and honor-related issues, as well as processing applications for housing support. In the position we are now recruiting for, you will work with eviction prevention efforts and become one of three Senior Social Workers in the unit.
The work consists of the usual tasks of a Senior Social Worker, as you will lead and distribute the daily work within the unit. You will provide methodological guidance to your caseworkers in both acute and long-term processes and collaborate with other units and external parties. You will also be part of the unit's management group and various collaboration groups.
With your knowledge and good approach, you will work to ensure that the individuals we meet receive the help and support they need to live as independently as possible based on their own circumstances and to maintain their rental contracts. The work is characterized by intensive collaboration with other units within the department as well as with external parties such as support services, healthcare, landlords, collection agencies, and disturbance response teams.
The department actively works to maintain a high level of competence, and therefore regularly offers several training sessions and external process guidance. The workplace is characterized by a good working climate, low staff turnover, extensive experience and competence, and mutual helpfulness. Working according to MI is prioritized in the unit, and employees are offered training in it.
Our office is located at Hjällbo Lillgata 1, where Adult 1, Financial Support, and Children and Youth also have their premises. All employees have their own large rooms.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker, combined with experience and knowledge of the Social Services Act. It is of great importance that you are well acquainted with the legislation and other regulations that govern the operations.
We consider it an advantage if you have experience in authority exercise with investigations, assessments, and implementation of decisions, as well as an interest and experience in management. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of mental health issues, disabilities, addiction, rental laws, and have experience in investigations. Experience with Treserva is a plus.
