Unika Östra Backa is a group home located in Landvetter. The facility consists of 6 apartments for individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, or autism-like conditions.

Here, a wonderful group of individuals live with a great deal of joy for life and a desire for an active lifestyle. A summer at Östra Backa means a lot of activity, warmth, and social community.

The staff at Östra Backa consists of a manager, coordinators, support assistants, and support educators. The operation is also supported by a nurse, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist from Härryda municipality. We utilize methods and approaches such as low-arousal responses, clear pedagogical strategies, AAC, and sign language support. At Unika, we work with Certified Support Person methodology within our LSS operations, which is an approach aimed at realizing our vision of empowering individuals. The goal is increased continuity, development, and security for each individual.

As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to individuals with disabilities, aiming to promote their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will support users in their daily routines and activities based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, focusing on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you will work based on clear pedagogical strategies and low-arousal responses to create safety and predictability in the users' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the resources and budget of the operation.

Qualifications

• Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
• Good personal suitability
• Experience in care and support work

Preferred qualifications include

• Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-arousal responses.
• High school education such as child and youth program, care and support program, or post-secondary education such as support educator, social educator, or university education in a relevant field.

Employment type: Summer substitute Work hours: Part-time according to agreement and individual schedule Working hours: Day, evening, weekend Start date: According to agreement, we view positively if you can start before the summer vacation. Collective agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
