About the position

The group home is located on Hönö, close to a beautiful outdoor environment. The group home consists of 6 apartments and common areas for social interaction.

The users have decisions according to LSS, and the operation is based on respect for the user's self-determination and integrity. Each individual should be given as much influence and co-determination as possible over the services they receive to be able to live like others and have good living conditions. The users have varying functional variations, and the main task is to contribute to making everyday life understandable, manageable, and meaningful for the individual.

Job Responsibilities

As a support assistant, you work closely with the individual and help create a meaningful and safe everyday life. You and your colleagues ensure that the services are carried out in accordance with legislation and that each individual's needs are prioritized. We work from a salutogenic approach, and KASAM is part of our working method - every individual should have an understandable, manageable, and meaningful everyday life. You actively participate in various tasks that include everything from pedagogical support in daily living to personal care. The users have varying functional variations, with several having extensive physical disabilities and needing support in many parts of their daily lives. Our mission is to contribute to making everyday life understandable, manageable, and meaningful for each individual.

You also collaborate with the other network surrounding the users.

The work also includes tasks such as documentation, establishing, following up, and evaluating implementation plans, as well as being involved in developing work methods and routines.

Competence development is a natural part of our work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a support assistant and/or have experience working with the target group.

You have a positive view of people, a good value base, and a strong commitment to creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our users. It is important that you have the ability to build good relationships and focus on the individual’s needs. You are secure and stable in your professional role and have an unpretentious attitude in collaboration with others.

You should have a genuine interest and a strong commitment to working with individuals at a low developmental level with various functional variations.

Meriting for the position is knowledge of low-arousal responses, clarifying pedagogy, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), and experience documenting your work. In our operations, we document in Life Care. It is required that you have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, as documentation is part of the job.
