We work within housing with special services, daily activities, employment, housing support, personal assistance, children's and short-term accommodations, respite care, as well as support and guidance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for summer substitutes for Housing with special services, Knuts väg. The group home is located in Olofstorp and focuses on adults with autism, severe to moderate intellectual disabilities, and very challenging behavior. The operation is integrated with a Daily Activity program where users and staff go during the day.

The operation consists of a single-story house where our five users live in their own apartments. We work around each person based on individually established implementation plans and follow action plans. We believe it is important to have activities outside the residence and can therefore go to the forest for a walk or go swimming on warm summer days.

The Daily Activity program is located in an adjacent building where we walk and listen to music in a sensory room, enjoy the hot tub, have coffee, and watch movies. We actively work with the users' outdoor environment.

As staff, you work with a strong user focus. We always work one staff member per user and strive to place the individual's needs at the center and their right to decide over their life. In our communication, we use signs as support or TAK.

Together with your colleagues, you plan and offer activities to each person based on their own wishes and possibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

It is advantageous if you have training as a support assistant, a degree in Child and Recreation with a focus on social work or educational work, or a degree in Health and Care with a specialization in disabilities.

It is advantageous if you have experience with Low-Affect Responses. We also see that you have experience with AAC, signs as support, or TAK. Since we often go on excursions, it is beneficial if you have a driver's license and driving experience.

It is advantageous if you have experience working in Daily Activities.

You take responsibility for your own and the shared tasks with the best interests of the operation/users in focus. You take your tasks seriously, are committed to completing what you have started, and ensure that the work is done correctly.

You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate.

You work effectively under stress, can balance different demands, and remain calm in difficult situations. You distinguish between the issue and the person and can make well-founded decisions under time pressure.
