About the position

We are looking for educators for Iris's assignment for vocational introduction for sign language users at our operation in Stockholm. The target group for this is deaf and severely hearing-impaired individuals who are job seekers, considering further education, or starting their own business.

Your responsibilities

The target group for this assignment is deaf and severely hearing-impaired individuals who rely on sign language for their communication and need adapted measures to obtain work. As an educator, you will work with planning, documentation, and implementation of supportive measures to help participants achieve their goals. This includes study and career guidance, motivating measures such as individual counseling, teaching, and workshops. As an educator, you will work with planning, procurement, and follow-up of work trials and internship placements. You will have a team of colleagues with extensive experience and great competence in adapted educational measures to assist you.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with experience working with the target group of deaf and severely hearing-impaired individuals. Since the position is conducted in Swedish sign language, we are looking for someone who fully masters Swedish sign language. A prerequisite is that you have experience in planning and coordinating activating and motivating measures, documented experience in guiding individuals towards studies and work, experience in procuring work trials and internship placements, and possess good digital competence. Knowledge about individuals within the target group is a prerequisite for you to be able to work with us.

You have an easy time establishing contact and maintaining relationships as you are attentive and smooth in communication. At the same time, you have an easy time influencing by creating engagement and motivating others. You are flexible and can adapt when the conditions of tasks change, while also taking responsibility for your task and for achieving the participant's goals and Iris's goals. We emphasize personal suitability for the position. It is an advantage if you are multilingual.

Furthermore, we are looking for someone who meets one of the following requirement profiles:

• At least (one) 1 year of experience, in the last five years, working full-time or part-time (at least 50% of full-time) guiding adults, or alternatively young adults aged 16-25, towards work and studies, and at least (one) 1 year of experience, in the last five years, working full-time or part-time (at least 50% of full-time) with activating and motivating measures (see module 3) for the target group of deaf and severely hearing-impaired individuals who rely on sign language for their communication.
• Ability to communicate fluently in sign language and have at least (one) 1 year of experience, in the last five years, working full-time or part-time (at least 50% of full-time) with the target group of deaf and severely hearing-impaired individuals who rely on sign language for their communication, and have at least (one) 1 year of experience, in the last five years, working full-time or part-time (at least 50% of full-time) integrating individuals with disabilities into the workforce and providing conditions for job seekers to find, obtain, and retain a job.
