The Education Administration in Stockholm is Sweden's largest administration with 16,000 employees.

We are responsible for the operation and development of the municipality's 143 primary schools and 26 secondary schools.

The mission of the Primary School Department is to realize the goals and visions of the Education Committee for the city's municipal primary schools and adapted primary schools, based on the Education Act, regulations, curricula, and other regulations. The operations include preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary schools, and leisure centers.

The Primary School Department supports and creates conditions for schools to fulfill their missions. The department's staff also assists the primary school director and primary school managers in leading and managing operations at the municipal level.

We are now looking for a coordinator for internal processes.

Job description

Main tasks:

  • Coordinate and be responsible for investigation assignments, write service statements and memoranda.
  • Distribute and manage committee matters, as well as monitor deadlines for matters to the committee.
  • Quality review texts and provide support to case officers in ongoing matters.
  • Maintain and develop routines for case management and information handling.
  • Coordinate larger school inspection matters and city audit reports.
  • Represent the Primary School Department and the administration in internal and external working groups and networks.

Other tasks may also occur.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone with an academic education in public administration, political science, law, or another direction that the employer assesses as equivalent. We place great emphasis on personal suitability for the assignment.

You should have a good knowledge of the Swedish school system in general and primary school in particular, as well as an understanding of how organization and political processes work in municipal operations.

Since the work largely involves text production and text processing, it is important that you are a skilled stylist and can express yourself well in good Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

The work requires that you find it easy to collaborate, create good relationships, and communicate in a accommodating and clear manner. You need to be knowledgeable, judicious, responsible, meticulous, and able to take initiative and work independently based on your function. The tasks are of a varying nature, and matters to the committee and politicians often have short lead times. Therefore, you need to be a skilled organizer, pragmatic, and flexible with the ability to quickly reprioritize your agenda.

The city uses the case management system eDok. It is a plus if you are used to working in this system, but it is not decisive for employment.
