About the role

In the role of economist at Myrqvist, you will have overall responsibility for the company's finances and ongoing accounting. You will work closely with the CEO and the board and be a key person in ensuring a stable financial structure in the company. The tasks are varied and include both operational and strategic components.

Main responsibilities

• Create budgets, forecasts, and reports for the CEO and board
• Be responsible for ongoing bookkeeping together with the accounting firm
• Manage ongoing financial administration, including invoice payments
• Support the business with financial analysis and follow-up
• Streamline and improve financial processes
• Drive and develop the company's finance function as the business grows

Qualifications

• Academic degree in finance or equivalent relevant education
• Experience in accounting and financial management, either through previous work or relevant studies
• Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Experience or interest in retail is considered an advantage
• Good knowledge of Excel and business systems
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
